Blog Activity 7A.

Blogging for the Classroom:

While I do not feel that a blog would be useful for my classroom to use, I do enjoy keeping up with my siblings this way.  Because my school is upwards of 85% free or reduced lunch, I cannot create a blog and require them to visit it at home.  Most of the students would use their phones to view it, and then commenting on something becomes a nightmare for a grammar teacher.  I do think it would be used as a place for parents to see what we are doing, but posting my agenda everyday would be difficult, and parents might not understand what I have written on the board.  For example, I use the title "perspective" for when I am rearranging their seats.  I think it would take up a lot of time that I do not have to give some parents access to my classroom information ( I had one who used the online tools last year).

Demonstrations of blogging, for the Assignment.

I haven't talked about some of the good parts of teaching on this blog.  My first year a few of us dressed up for Halloween, which was fun.

My first Halloween as a teacher. Yes, I'm the cheerleader.

I also have performed at a Benefit Concert for the Choir.  The Choir teacher, Mr Suffolk, and I sang "All I Ask of You" from Phantom of the Opera.  The students who posted it sings along on the video.  Lovely.

Over all there are some good things and not so good things that come along with teacher, but I will continue on.  I still have school loans to pay off.
